Bett is a yoga teacher, author and speaker

I’ve always loved writing. I have a lot of reasons why I shouldn’t write. I am dyslexic, bad at grammar, and spelling. But I am compelled to write and I’ve written and self-published several books.

Daily Yoga

Bett Bollhoefer started doing daily yoga in April of 2021. The journey gave her a new perspective on life. In this new book Daily Yoga: A practice for life, Bett Bollhoefer shares the benefits of doing a daily practice and how to get started. This is a very practical guide. Chapters included types of yoga, how to choose which one to do, how to set up your space, how to pick a time of day, and much more.

Good Meetings A Handbook

Good meetings matter

Do you want to be known as a person who runs good meetings? Meetings are the places where people create new products, create solutions to challenging problems and organize teams to accomplish goals. Being competent at running meetings is critical to ensure that you are successful. Start building your meeting leadership skills by reading this book and practicing its techniques. Good Meetings: A Handbook lays out all the tools you need to know to run good meetings.

I wrote it because I’d been to too many bad meetings in my long tech career. Even though there are plenty of books out there on how to run meetings, I still saw lots of bad meetings. I started the hashtag #endboringmeetings.
This book can be read end to end if you are new to the world of meetings. I cover all aspects of meetings in this short handbook. When you are finished reading this book you will know everything you need to run good meetings.

If you’ve been around meetings for a long time, you can use this book as a reference.
Please share this book with colleagues and your team.

Zen meets Software

The Zen of Software Development: A Seven Day Journey: A handbook to Enlightened Software Development by Bett Correa

Do you dream of working on a team of enlightened people who create software which users love? Stop dreaming and start living! This book will get you started on your journey. Zen is now ready to overtake our offices and enable our teams to create software together. I have laid out exercises you can do alone or with your team members to create a new awareness and Group Mind. I’ve spent over 15 years in software development and gone from being a web developer, to a DBA, to a project manager, to a business analyst, to an end to end solutions architect, and a product owner. The pattern I see repeated over and over again is teams missing deadlines, unhappy users, buggy code, and over-budget software. The reasons I blame for this are also the same time and time again: teams fighting, not understanding each other, being stuck in the past, not understanding the users, and overall stressful team environments. This small handbook lays out a step-by-step process to create a new awareness, first in yourself and then, you’ll be surprised to notice, in your team members. I don’t waste time on a lot of theory but focus on the facts. The layout is a seven day guide in which you have one small chapter to read each day with an exercise to help give you an awareness of the present. There is also a meditation to practice each day. My Sci-fi Novel

If parents could easily and affordably engineer their children the way they desire, what would the world be like?

Engineer Your Perfect Child explores that future. This fast paced yet philosophically intriguing sci-fi book reveals what genetic engineering has not figured out yet: how to turn a child into a genius!

In 2025, the whole scientific world is chasing that elusive goal. The US, China and Peru are leading the way. Ace Peruvian scientist, Dr. Indira Rico, is a lifelong member of the EYPC cult “Engineer Your Perfect Child” (where children get trained from infancy for a specific career). She has nearly perfected a nanobot system to 'copy' genius neural networks from one person's brain into another. She doesn’t realize, however, that she has a Chinese spy on her research team who is siphoning off her breakthrough ideas. In the lab, things go terribly wrong. Indira fries the brains of several street kid test subjects. A burly priest-in-training turned gang leader, Pedro, attempts to ride in and rescue his beloved street kids from the mad scientist. Is it love at first sight when these opposing worlds meet? Indira is kidnapped to China. The smitten Pedro and his nun friends must travel far, risking life and limb to save her. Meanwhile a creepy US Senator and Indira's abusive boyfriend are trying to kidnap her back. The race is on to get control of Indira and her ground-breaking system, and the winner will take all!
